We have a non-discriminatory policy and require as much from our partners.

Our goal is to help other non-profit organizations raise money for their charitable needs. While the store has grown to serve a variety of causes, the original goal to provide funds to qualified care and service providers in the community has not changed. Through diverse organizations Community Thrift provides funds for various services, including: 

• Financial assistance, food, shelter, and comfort for those living with AIDS and other life threatening diseases.
• Counseling and nurturing of children and youth, including job training and the promotion of sports programs. 
• Empowerment of women and other minorities. 
• Promotion of health and health care. 
• Support for the elderly and assistance for recent immigrants. 
• Assistance in creating safe environments for mental illness survivors and the physically challenged. 
• Humane programs for animals and pets. 
• Preservation of the environment and promotion of ecological values. 
• Support for programs that are working to defeat bigotry and violence. 
• Outreach and support for homeless individuals.

About our store: We have grown to include over 200 non-profit organizations that we refer to as partners. All partners must be registered with the IRS as a 501-(c)(3). These charities encourage their supporters to donate items to Community Thrift. Community Thrift is staffed with a combination of employees, volunteers and community service workers.
